In addition, we are an in-house professional development resource for Mundo Verde educators across our network of schools.

 

Job Overview:  

 

The program coordinator provides ongoing creative, administrative and logistic support for the staff and initiatives at IMV. At present, this position will work closely with the Director of Innovation and other partners advancing our current programming and future endeavors.  Project assignments may change over time as projects shift at IMV.

 

The ideal Program Coordinator candidate is one with demonstrated ability and talent to:1) manage IMV’s programmatic planning 2) create content for marketing and outreach purposes 3) promote and execute key outreach strategies to expand the reach of IMV’s programmatic offerings 4) manage and oversee the recruitment process of training participants 5) coordinates and ensures readiness of materials and facilitators for the successful execution of all training sessions 6) monitors approved expenditures of the program and impeccably maintains records pertaining to such expenses. This position also works in close coordination with the MVPCS HR and Communications departments to align mutually beneficial efforts. The ideal candidate also has the potential to grow into a manager role for the responsibilities and duties listed below. 

 

Reports To: 

 

The IMV Program Coordinator reports to the Director of Innovation.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

 

Program Planning and Development: research, draft, edit, share and communicate on core content and operational responsibilities

  • Help maintain routine communications with network members, partners, and other constituents.
  • Manage and conduct research on issues pertinent to project goals and activity.
  • Write, edit, and produce a variety of project materials as well as IMV products as directed (e.g., correspondence, program handbooks, project guidelines, proposals, newsletters, etc.)

 

Content Creation and Development: research, prepare, write, and edit online content for marketing and front-end web development

  • Identify how IMV can provide value and/or solve pain points for target audiences
  • Research and fact-check for marketing content
  • Write effective marketing content for different audiences through blog posts, eBooks, newsletters, campaign taglines, social media, static copy, video
  • Produce press releases: general news, product launches, product updates and events
  • Execute basic graphic design to enhance content
  • Optimize/update content on the IMV website
  • Optimize/update content social media platforms

 

Programmatic Outreach: research, ideate, propose alternatives and manage execution of outreach strategies 

  • With advisory, manage the creation and delivery of marketing strategies
  • Engage in networking with niche social networks to spread the word of IMV offerings
  • Data mine to enhance contacts databases and other useful information 
  • Publicize IMV programming and recruitment initiatives within niche networks 
  • Anticipate and monitor upcoming outreach opportunities
  • Launch and update the IMV blog
  • Review key performance indicators of campaign analytics
  • Surfaces insights and key findings for campaigns performance

 

Recruitment Coordination: manages and oversees the recruitment process of training participants 

  • Create timelines for the various program’s recruitment processes 
  • Create, update and organize folders and documents for each part of the recruitment process 
  • Coordinate invitations, sign-up forms, interviews and follow-up emails for candidates
  • Schedule, participate-in and lead interviews with candidates
  • Provide feedback to the recruitment team on each candidate, as needed 
  • Provide feedback to the recruitment process, as needed 

 

Adult-Learning Coordination: manage operational tasks for successful trainings facilitation and participant engagement

  • Create timelines and calendars for trainings
  • Coordinate training dates with MV’s Network Team Coordinator 
  • Create, update and organize training folders for both facilitators and participants
  • Support the revision of minute-by-minute facilitation agendas for training sessions
  • Lead session run-throughs with facilitators
  • Set up the Zoom meeting (if requested)
  • Prepare documents, communications, surveys as instructed
  • Manage break out rooms, breaks, music, videos and Zoom recordings
  • Interpret facilitation of the session in either English or Spanish, as needed
  • Field Q&As when appropriate
  • Take notes live on- or off-screen
  • Provide technical support when participants encounter difficulties
  • Help facilitators with time management and participant engagement
  • Post-event debrief and edit services (notes, audio, video)
  • Recommend improvements for future sessions
  • Keep track of participants attendance and follow up with them as needed

 

Operating Expenses: Work within budget, submit orders, track expenditures, provide status updates.

  • Submit purchase orders for approved expenditures 
  • Monitor approved expenditures 
  • Maintain clear records in a systematic way pertaining to expenses activities in that particular area.
  • Provide status updates as needed 



Qualifications, Skills, and Values

 

Qualifications

  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish 
  • Excellent computer skills (Google Suite, Microsoft Office, web-based platforms, etc.) and capacity for learning technology required
  • Experience with website and social media development 
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Associate’s degree, bachelor’s preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Highly professional demeanor and responsibly manage sensitive information.
  • Experience as an educator is preferred

Other Job Details

  • Schedule: Minimum 8 hour day with availability three evenings a week from 5PM - 7:30PM 
  • Location: Washington, DC or Remote with 20% travel
  • Position Type: This is a 12-month salaried position which is exempt and therefore not eligible for overtime pay under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act
  • Employment subject to TB test, COVID vaccination, fingerprinting and background check
