To be responsible for grant management specific to the Maryland Leads grant, including monitoring, evaluating, and reporting of grant activities.


  • This is a grant funded assignment to be in effect through September 30, 2024.

·          Grant funded assignments will be in effect as stipulated in the grant.  Assignment continuation is contingent upon available grant funding.

       Plans, organizes, implements, manages, and monitors grant activities for the Maryland State Department’s (MSDE) Maryland Leads Grant.

       Serves as the HCPS point of contact for Maryland Leads; attends all required technical assistance meetings.

       Facilitates the collaboration between the Central Office, schools, and Leads grants partners/professional services, to ensure that proposed grants activities are implemented and evaluated as planned.

       Provides grant-related technical assistance for staff utilizing grant funds.

       Ensures that grant funds are utilized in accordance with MSDE’s Maryland Leads Grant guidelines.

       Makes informed decisions regarding the apportionment and pacing of fiscal, time, and human resources which must be accomplished within the Maryland Leads Grant.

       Oversees the systematic collection, analysis, and reporting of accurate, timely and reliable data needed to monitor and report on the effectiveness of grant related programs.

       Assists with completion of quarterly and annual evaluation reports; submits reports to funding agency in alignment with mandated schedules.

       Maintains the details of grant-related fiscal records and budgets in cooperation with the Office of Business Services.

       Aligns Maryland Leads grant activities with applicable Blueprint for Maryland’s Future committees, the HCPS North Star Initiative, the HCPS Talent Pathways Initiative, and other Strategic Initiatives.

       Participates and reports to impacted committees, senior leadership, or other teams as applicable.

       Performs other work-related duties as assigned.





       Salary is in accordance with the Non-Certificated Administrative, Technical and Supervisory Professionals 2022-2023 salary schedule, Grade C ($83,019 - $109,542).








       Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

       Minimum of three years of experience in a related field.

       Knowledge of and experience with grants/restricted funding.

       Demonstrated experience and expertise in program management, accounting and/or evaluation reports.

       Experience in keeping financial records and demonstrated organizational skills.

       Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.

       Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.

       Experience in handling confidential information in a professional manner, working with senior leadership.

       Excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills.
