Athletic Event Worker
POSITION PURPOSE: Athletic Staff are responsible for working under the instructions of the Athletic Director in welcoming guests to our athletic events.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Duties listed are not applicable to all events, but examples of different responsibilities:
- Unload’s equipment from trucks and sets up venues for events, including chairs and building stages.
- Works as usher and ensures that seating arrangements adhere to fire code regulations.
- Operates cash registers.
- Ensures the event hall is clean and organized.
- Adheres to event safety standards.
- Ensures excellent levels of customer service.
- Undertakes security duties.
- Assumes the role of Ticket Taker and welcomes guests.
- Sets up lighting and sound equipment.
- Works at a concession stand and serving food and drinks.
- Dispenses useful information to eventgoers.
- Inspects equipment for damage after use and checks it against an inventory list.
- Packs up equipment when the event is completed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Diligence and attention to detail.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Physical stamina and high energy levels.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and reliable
- Basic computer skills
WORK CALENDAR: As needed
SALARY: $10.00 per hour
BENEFITS: This position is not eligible for benefits.
