The Yellow Springs School District is accepting applications for an immediate opening for the position of              

School Bus Driver (Substitute ) 

Job Posting

 

Description: Responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of school pupils within the guidelines of the State of Ohio and policies of the Yellow Springs Schools Board of Education.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Complete State of Ohio driver’s pre-service training program

  2. Hold a valid CDL with school bus driver endorsement

  3. Have a safe driving record

  4. Ability to pass random drug & alcohol screenings

  5. At least 21 years of age

  6. Have a desire to work with students on a daily basis

  7. Self-directed and ability to follow directions

  8. Good health and good attendance record

  9. Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  10. Ability to work as a member of a team

 

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Classified Application

  • Contact information for three references.  Reference contacts should include current and former supervisors.

  • Hold a valid CDL 

  • Ability to pass drug & alcohol screening

  • Ability to pass a bus driver physical

 

HOURS:

  • Minimum of 4-hours per day; 2 hours to be paid for each shift (a.m./p.m.)

 

EMPLOYMENT TERMS:    

  • Bus Driver – Classification: VII- B

  • 181 days, or hours as contracted

  • Mid-Day School Bus Route

 

SALARY RANGE:            

Commensurate with experience
