Make your next move with the Virtual Learning Academy Charter School, or VLACS, New Hampshire’s first online statewide school. We currently seek passionate, qualified adjunct instructors for High School Computer Science positions. VLACS provides training and professional development in best practices in online teaching and learning. All applicants must have:

2 years of teaching experience in Computer Science.
A valid teaching certificate
Passion for teaching and serving students and their families;
The ability and willingness to learn and adapt to new technology; and
The flexibility to participate in a variety of virtual trainings, especially within the first 6 months of employment

    Thank you for your interest in the Virtual Learning Academy Charter School, the first public, online school in New Hampshire. Our school caters to students from middle school through grade 12. We aim to provide a challenging, rigorous education for all students, whether part time or full time, in-state or out of state, from public, private, and home educated.

    Virtual Learning Academy Charter School continually enriches their curriculum options and adds new courses for our middle school and high school students resulting in the need to add instructors.

    The Academy hires only experienced classroom or online teachers who are certified or certifiable in New Hampshire. Teachers must also meet No Child Left Behind "highly qualified teacher" requirements.

    The Virtual Learning Academy Charter School's administrative offices are located in Exeter, NH.     Job Requirements

    • Successful candidates will participate in:

      Initial 30-minute zoom interview,
      All-day virtual interview session with other candidates
      Multiple synchronous virtual training days over several months.

      Candidates with teaching credentials from outside of New Hampshire must be certified in New Hampshire if hired.
      Adjunct instructors are required to have their own laptops with internet access.
      Candidates must be available to work with students at least 3 days/week.
      VLACS gives preference to candidates who thrive in fast-paced, supportive environments and have other significant experiences outside of teaching.
    • At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred
    • Master degree preferred
    • Citizenship, residency or work VISA in United States required
