Job Description

SUNBURST: Summer’s Ultimate Network Bodaciously Uniting Resourceful Students Together, is an opportunity for rising 5th-8th Graders to engage in hands-on, real-world, application based learning. During this 4-week program, students will work in teams to cultivate creativity through projects, passion, peers, and play using new and emerging technologies with a focus on Farm to Table, Design Build, and Cape Cod’s Natural Wonders.

Eligible candidates must be motivated, creative, and fun adults who enjoy working with adolescent age students. Facilitators will be part of a six-person dynamic team committed to providing middle school students with a four-week, dynamic and interactive summer program. Our SUNBURST Program will provide students with project-based, problem solving, technology infused, creative-design learning experiences.


SALARY: Per prevailing contract.
?Pre-Program Facilitator Preparation: curriculum design, program logistics, professional development. Hourly rate per contact.


? In-Program Facilitator Pay: program oversight, facilitation, and logistics including coordinating field trips, speakers, and community outreach. Hourly rate per contact.


AVAILABILITY:
Program Design and Development:
? 2-3 hours of Sunburst Team meetings each month February-June: Thursdays 3:00-5:00pm February 17th, March 17th, April 28th, May 12th, June 9th

In Program Facilitation:
? July 5th-July 29th 2022: Approximately 140 Hours of work: 4 week program, 7 hours of work each day - including weekly Thursday morning team meetings.

      ? Demonstrated commitment to developing and fostering social emotional growth with middle-school students;
      ? Level of current expertise and competence with technology;
      ? Ability to self-initiate and work with a dynamic, collaborative team;
      ? Willingness to contribute to the development of curriculum with support from a curriculum developer;
      ? Acceptance of instructional feedback for the purpose of continuous growth as an instructor.
