Location:  CENTRAL OFFICE



Compensation: Commensurate with DCPS salary schedule


Hours Per Day: 7.5


Contracted Days: 210



 


QUALIFICATIONS


 



Required:


Any combination equivalent to:  associate's degree in computer information science or related field and three years increasingly responsible data processing experience.


 


Preferred:


Experience in Infinite Campus, MUNIS, and LEAD Reporting


Experience in AESOP/Frontline management system


Knowledge/Experience of the following:


· SQL Database Queries


· Website Support


· NutriKids


· Ellevation


· EduClimber


· Human Resources Software (such as RECORDS, PERFORM, etc.)


 


 


Knowledge Of:


· Basic computer skills including use of mouse and keyboard to navigate computer, e-mail, and websites.


· Subject matter in the area of assignment.


· Short and long-range planning techniques applicable to areas of specialty.


· In-service materials, subject matter and methods in the area of specialty.


· Record-keeping techniques.


· Communication skills.


· Research methods and report writing techniques.


· Laws, rules and regulations related to assigned activities.


· Policies and objectives of assigned program and activities.


· Principles of training and providing work direction.


· Technical aspects of the field of specialty.


 


 


 


 



JOB DESCRIPTION


 



Job Summary:


Maintain and monitor the District's data dictionary; assist in development of user documentation of systems developed by District information systems personnel.  Manages the implementation and usage of all database systems for Daviess County Public Schools.  Creates data sets and/or reports often in combining data from multiple sources for internal uses, external partners, open records requests, research requests and Board requests.  Provides data in a timely manner in compliance with all district, state, and federal policies.


 


Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities:


? Prepares, maintains, and updates data/information.


? Communicates Student Information System updates and coordinates related training opportunities to appropriate personnel.


? Prepares complex data sets/reports for the District.


? Assists with monitoring and completing data requests for federal, state, and local compliance.


? Combines multiple data sources into a single source document.


? Completes ad hoc data reports in compliance with district request for special data requirements.


? Performs quality data checks and district data systems and reports.


? Creates customized or specialized data reports to meet district needs.


? Assemble, maintain and update in-house database information.


? Works with multiple district departments, school personnel and community members on data needs.


? Works with other departments and school personnel on software consideration for purchasing and implementation.


? Ability to hold data and information at the highest level of confidentiality.


? Meets schedules and responsibilities.


? Establishes and maintains cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
