Job Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE:


Provide support to ESSER tutors on campus.  Assist with scheduling of tutorial times, help plan curriculum and track student data.  


**This position is funded through ESSER funds and will cease on or before 12/31/2024. 


**This is a full-time position.


 


QUALIFICATIONS:


Minimum Education/Certification:       


High school diploma or equivalent


Bachelor’s Degree- preferred


 


Special Knowledge/Skills:


Effective verbal and written communications skills as well as a high degree of literacy and higher order thinking skills


Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills


Follow written and/or oral directions and to exercise good judgement are required


Work effectively and harmoniously with students and school personnel is essential


Ability to interactively meet and plan with with tutors, colleagues, administration, students and parents


 


Work Conditions:


Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office/educational equipment including personal computer, tablets, Smart Board, etc.


Posture: Prolonged sitting, standing and walking; bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting


Motion: Repetitive hand motions


Lifting: Lifting and carrying (less than 50 pounds)


Environment: Must be able to work with frequent interruptions in a variety of educational settings and maintain professional demeanor under stress; Work inside and outside (exposure to sun, heat, cold, and inclement weather); exposure to noise


Regular attendance is an essential function.   


 


Minimum Experience:


Two years’ experience working with school aged students


 


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:


 


  1. Track and schedule student ESSER tutor hours.
  2. Manage ESSER tutor schedules during the day and after school.
  3. Provide professional development about tutoring process.
  4. Provide support for tutors with curriculum and student academic gaps needed.
  5. Analyze individual student progress and data to make instructional decisions.
  6. Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required.
  7. Develop and maintains resources to support the students.
  8. Participate in training and staff development as needed.
  9. Present for students a positive role model that supports the mission of the school district.
  10. Assist in keeping the teachers informed of student progress.
  11. Maintain a positive and professional relationship with all colleagues, students, parents, and community members through effective communication both verbally and written.
  12. Use acceptable communication skills to present information accurately and clearly.
  13. Maintain confidentiality in all matters.
  14. Model non-discriminatory practices in all activities.
  15. Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible.
  16. Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  17. Ensure compliance with all local policies and state and federal statutes including the Educator Code of Ethics.
  18. Perform such other tasks and accepts such other responsibilities as may be assigned.
