Job Description

Education Technology Support (ETS)


This is a full-time job with benefits. The ETS will report to the Director of Curriculum and Assessment. The ETS will be primarily responsible for installing instructional software and ensuring that staff, students, and parents have access to digital curricular resources and accounts. 


  • Assist the school personnel. Manage Help Desk tickets in a timely manner
  • Respond to customer issues via phone, email, video conference, and computer chat
  • Follow-up with staff to ensure issues are resolved
  • Following written or diagrammed instructions to set up a system or repair a problem
  • Run diagnostics to resolve staff-reported issues
  • Escalate issues to the next Tier (i.e to the help desk of the company of the software) with the next level of difficulty
  • Install, make changes, and repair computer hardware and software
  • Able to troubleshoot through a video conference call
  • Able to travel to various school sites for troubleshooting
  • Any duties assigned by the Central Office administration


  • Experience working in a help desk environment is preferred but not required
  • Certification not required
  • Proficient in using video conference tools
  • Proficient in Google applications
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic computer technical issues
  • Available to attend training and orientation sessions
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts with minimal notice
  • Familiarity with Chromebook, PC (desktop & laptop), and Mac devices
  • Detail-oriented in order to keep detailed notes on tickets
  • Highly organized to keep help desk tickets ordered and follow up on tickets.
